Seriously, I don't think the guy driving the C63 had a clue what he was doing. With a Weistec supercharger putting out 700 whp he should be doing 10.5 or better in the 1/4 with a 60' of 1.7 or better. Grated there was no track prep by the look of it but his time was pathetic and not representative of what the car can do.

There is no shame that the AMG lost to possibly the very best car on this planet. AMG's are some of the very best all-around cars I have had the pleasure of driving but the Porsche is in my opinion the very best car I have ever driven. The Turbo S embarrasses cars with much more power and has better reliability and handling and interiors than pretty much everything else. Having said all that, I love my C63.

I came most recently from a fairly heavily modified 996TT, and while it was an amazing weapon on track, I enjoy my AMG more overall and find it to be a more 'fun' car by far.
There's something off about that video. First of all it's an old video done at that stupid makeshift Russian 'dragstrip', so results should be viewed with EXTREME skepticism. That aside, look at the splits. The Porsche beats the BS in the first 1/4 mile (400m) by 1s. Ok, fine, that's to be expected with the traction advantage even though that time and trap is not exactly representative of the finest showing by a SC Weistec car (11.64@127mph is definitely super-weak, bad driver or not it should be trapping in the 130's). The interesting thing is that over the next 600m, the Porsche doesn't even pull away much - it only lengthens it's lead over the BS by another 0.2s and they end up trapping similar speeds (166 to 169). Now 1000m is 0.62mi. I was trapping 178mph in the 3/4mi in my low-11s Turbo, so that speed sounds a little low to me for a true mid-10s Porsche in my opinion.
What I'm trying to say in all of this is that a) the track conditions and timing equipment are not to be trusted at all; b) the poor 1/4 ET and trap of the BS leads me to believe that he probably hit the rev-limiter or otherwise screwed up his early shifts because he's basically trapping the same at the 1000m mark as the Porsche; and c) even the Porsche numbers particularly at the 1000m mark seem inconsistent with the early split - perhaps he braked early who knows.
Videos like this should be taken with an entire box of salt. Without knowing the circumstances of the run there are zero conclusions that can be made from this. In real-life, at a real track, with real equipment, these cars are probably dead-even if the BS is modded like they say it is (with a real driver). On DRs or slicks the BS could very well come out on top here.

The 997TTS and 991TTS are mid 10s stock.
So even if you guys think the C63 is slow compared to what it should have done, the 650hp 991tts is also slow by its own standard. So maybe the track isn't that quick or there is head wind or somehting.
All in all, good race and still pretty close results. Don't mess with TT 911s, they are quick cars...
