Hello and have a body kit reviews question

Hello gentlemen, I will be picking up my c63 amg soon and already have a good ideas of the direction power wise I will be going in but I am still debating any wide body kits... I obviously love the BS kit and have researched it on this site but what I havent seen too much is reviews on the kits that have been installed cars... Have they held up over time, has the quality been sub par, does it constantly having to be readjusted , do u regret doing it , do you have to baby it fearing it will be damaged? I understand that the bs oem conversion if installed right looks seamless but how are other kits offered by other companies? Any horror stories? And what about other wide body kits? Not trying to start a flame fest and if u don't feel like putting negative info out there please pm me. I'm just the new guy trying to plan out my options. Thanks look forward to contributing to this site.

I think most of the BS conversion kits from what I've seen are the same quality as most of the body kits out there. Unless they are from Japan.

FRP (Fiberglass) construction, usually thick to compensate for strength. Depending on the production run, they can be perfect or warped depending on how many they've made on the same master. Just like all aftermarket body kits copies they will need a good amount of body work to make it look right.

But in the end nothing is better than OEM/Urethane/PP quality and fitment.

What I fear is having to constantly repair for every little scrap... I've never had anything other then oem quality kits and lips on so and I have seen fiberglass kits and don't want it breaking apart for any little thing. Maybe I'm just over analyzing it but just don't want it fall apart due to hitting a pothole or becuase I came up the driveway to fast you know. oem bs would be nice though. I have been looking for a parts list and every online parts store I have tired don't list any exterior parts just locks and cylinders and crap.

I hear ya, I would just do some searching and look at other BS builds and see if you can contact the member to see who they used.
#2 post has a pdf of the part numbers. Also there are a couple of vendors on here that might be willing to help out with such a conversion.

Yeah I'm going to continue to research and see slowly gather as many oem the parts for the kit possible. On a different note I should be picking up my 507 tomorrow and am super excited.

Does it feel sturdy? Has any pieces had to be repaired? Has the kit had to be readjusted once installed ? Which kit do u have?

As far as I know the Black Series was ever only made as Coupe, so with the Sedan, you will have to look at other wide body kits.

Dads C63 did an OEM BS conversion on his C63 sedan. Here is a link.
