[PIC] Dyno Results / OE Tune / Headers
Thought i would start a new thread for those interested. The old thread was getting quite long.
I noticed my old thread is nearing 2000 views so alot of you have been entertained over the past couple of days.
Anyhow, Jeremy from OE updated my tune today, to accommodate the headers. Big difference from before and after.
Just to clarify a timeline;
-Originally the car was stock (duh) Though i had no dyno runs when car was stock.
-Removed 2nd cats & did OE Tune. Took to Dyno (Same dyno as in the pics below) and ran 285kw/382hp. I dont know how the Dyno was setup that time. It was Summer time, and 34 Deg C / 93 F on that run.
-Fitted 4into1 LTH & 100C Cats, and the place that fitted them ran it on their Dyno (different shop to the 1st run) It was a Dyno Dynamics brand, and in Shootout mode.
The car made 315kw / 422hp. Still had not updated tune.
-Car was too loud, so i had the factory 2nd cats but back in. Car was back to normal sound again. Well, not NORMAL, but it is much quieter now.
-Took car back to original dyno (the one that recorded 285kw/382hp)
They ran it on their Dyno again, with current setup. Ran 286kw/383.
They updated the OE Tune to accommodate the headers & cats.
They ran it on the dyno again. Mind you, they didnt remove the car from the dyno or adjust anything to get the most accurate results.
The dyno apparently was setup in ramp / rate (or something) of 200. (i dont know what this means) and it ran 328kw / 440hp. Temp was 22 Deg C/ 71F. 25m / 80ft above sea level.
I dont know what that means, but i have seen others specify it so im doing it so the technical people will appreciate it.
They SAID that if it were in Shootout mode, it always reads more, but they said these are more accurate numbers the way they run it.
I havnt had a chance to drive it properly, but my mate who took it there for me said its a huge difference in feel.

So if I were to get a C63 the basic mods would be modify or buy the intake box, LT headers leave the secondary cats & resonator in with an OE tune?

Thanks for sharing - very nice bit of data for all to see
You're from Australia...I'm guessing you've got those defilipio RHD headers or something like that, right?
Very impressive power gains man. That's damn near 65hp on top of the normally unlocked potential of the motor. In theory, you're making around 570hp+ at the flywheel?
Damn...I need to buy those headers.......
