Key features:
  • Adds ~120rwHP in standard kit form on unmodified car
    • Calibration included for standard kit on unmodified car – custom tunes readily available from select Magnuson Dealers.
    • Calibration can be done online via OBDII and Android device – ECU remains in vehicle.
    • Various enhancement products will be available through Dealers.
  • Includes Magnuson’s 3 year/36,000 mile warranty.
  • CARB certification is being sought – will be available for the standard kit & will include 2008-2015 model years.
  • MSRP of US$9,995 including calibration (refer to Distributors for international pricing)
    • Limited launch special of $500 discount on the first 20 kits pre-ordered through select Dealers.
  • Installs can usually be completed within one day.
  • Also available as an “Engine Kit” and a “Tuner kit”. POA.
  • Available in the USA, Australia & UE for Christmas through select Dealers while stocks last.
Technical features:
  • Eaton TVS2300 rotor group.
  • Kit produces 7-8 psi. in standard form on a showroom vehicle.
  • Installs without any wiring being cut – all connections are plug-in.

  • Large CFD-optimised intake with high velocity flow path.
  • Unrestricted rotor discharge port (maximises flow, minimises loss).
  • Large plenum (equalises flow to all ports).
  • Long port “runners” for improved fuelling (minimises cross-fire).
  • Ř55mm bypass plate (bypassed air is also cooled).
  • Charge Air Coolers utilising F1 technology ensure lowest IAT’s
    • Extruded multi-rib tube for CAC coolant path (maximises heat extraction).
    • Louvered CAC fins (reduces pressure drop without sacrificing cooling efficiency).
    • Large-bore coolant reticulation.
    • OEM-standard quick-connect fittings for coolant.
  • Billet fuel rails.

Does this add 120whp to a base C63 or also to a P31 C63? Meaning will it go from 481 to 601hp? or will this only be for the base c63 giving a P31 car only 90hp?

You got that all messed up.

They are saying 120rwhp to a stock car. Stock car dynod 378rwhp. So you would be at 498rwhp with this kit on a stock car.

The real gains come from headers and their blower, which puts you at 586rwhp.

Looks like a decent kit, price is good, power is between weistecs stage 2 and 3. Newer mct cars will probably hold the power, older 7g trannys will likely fail after a few months.

Now that is amazing. I cannot believe the difference between this blower with and without headers is so large. Makes for a really nice bump in power but not for the faint of wallet..

Once the kit has been released, you can purchase directly through OE Tuning or Magnuson.

Here is a picture from 2015 SEMA show of the Magnuson 507 Edition C63 AMG

10k plus 3-4K or less for used headers for 700hp is not a bad bargain at all.

If you seen a set of headers beside the stock manifolds you would see why. The manifolds won't flow jack ****

SO what sort of upgrades do you offer with this supercharger?
How much power and boost can they handle?
have you tested this with 12psi 13 psi 14 psi pulleys??
have you tested this at the track? qtr mile times??

I'm sure the blower is ready for mods... as mag has been around on other platforms for a while.

The amg specific tuning, is a good question.

- We have injector & pulley kit upgrades - plug-n-play. A custom tune is required & it will not be CARB legal.
- The power/boost limitation is the engine, not the supercharger.
- Yes, we have tested & will continue to develop more pulley options. We will release more details in future.
- We have done circuit track testing for durability verification. We have not run quarter-miles... we all know that impressive 1/4m's is as much about the car setup/tyres/day as the power/torque delivery. 1/4m testing does not add as much engineering/development/verification value as some of the other resources we use.

Kinda true, but 1/4 is not entirely due to tires and da on the particular day. On a car like the C63, which is more of a dragster than say an M3, quarter mile times would be important to publish. I think its safe to say that the type of guys spending 13-14k on a supercharger for their already-fast C63 are probably regulars at drag strips and would want to know

I like the way this kit is configured with the supercharger in the valley. Seems to allow for decent sized intercoolers and very good runner geometry. Runner geometry definitely looks like a compromise on the Weistec setup but obviously works fine as they are getting excellent results.

Where do you see intake runners on this kit? Is there a cross section?

How does the Weistec kit work for intake runner? Does the air go over the heat exchanger down then back up into the port? Can't tell from looking at their manifold.

How does this supercharger allow for larger intercoolers exactly

It looks very similar to their LS kits that have runners up each side of the plenum. I'm guessing it would work well on the M156 as the ports are vertical.

It appears that the Weistec kit has a very tight radius where the runner enters the port. This isn't ideal, but Weistec know what they are doing and would have traded it off for benefits in other areas I expect. (like being able to run the 3L whipple for example??)

I wasn't comparing to Weistec, just noting that the design allows for 2 reasonably large intercoolers inside the plenum (assuming it's the same as the LS versions from Magnuson).

Thanks.
Yes, that chart is from a Mainline dyno in Melbourne Au that has a very good history of power numbers matching 1/4m times. It is not generous... as MR747 can confirm. Hammer has been verified on at least 4 different chassis dynos, plus an engine dyno.

The supercharger is capable of supporting in excess of 1000hp. There are many HeartBeats on GM platforms with >1000 at the wheels & Hammer shares a lot of the design principles.
