How do the SC guys keep power on the ground?
My mildly modified C63 destroys my 285 nittos at the track or on the street in Sport mode or with ESP off. I've been itching to add some power but I just don't see how I would be able to handle that power without putting some serious rubber in the back. Has anyone successfully run a 305 or larger tire in the rear?

nittos are dog b.... get your self some hoosier 16in tyres for the track and some PSS tyres for the rd my car hooks great for being supercharged

305 is not possible on stock fenders. I have 275 for daily driving. That's why I order the wide fenders. I don't think any tire would hold the power of a super charged c63. Drag racing is a different story. I put on a c300 rotors/calipers and I use a 15 inch wheels with a 26 x10 slicks tires. Even with 10 inch tire fender rolling was needed because tires rubs on fender.

pss tires in the rear will be a huge improvement .. you can easz into the throttle off line pill very little and once hooks then floor... this is on the street I mean.

You don't. No way you can find rubber that will fit the fenders and will keep traction at WOT on a SC C63.
Like already said, 305s won't fit, you can fit 285s max, comes down to the wheels you are running.
For street you are best of with PSS, for drag go 15s (will need to change your brakes) or 16s (will need spacers).

Marioflex is right.
He has the quickest C63 street car in the world and I hope the HMS fenders will make a world of a difference.
From stock, bolts ons, and supercharger/nitrous application. Our stock rear fenders are the same as a regular C class. The width and offset available is very limited and leaves no room for good concave wheels or lip size... the widest tire size we can run is rear is 285 max and that's pushing it.

How has no one said "Upgrade your diff" ????????? Tires don't mean jack. Our OEM LSD is sloppy...PSS's suck btw..its like driving on hockey pucks, if you want a good tire buy Falken FK453's ..they last 15,000-20,000KM of hard driving, end of the day, let your tires heat up before you start WOTing it..it's a huge factor
and 285 is probably max you'd wanna go w/o rubbing..you could put 295 but a wider tire doesn't mean you'll magically get more grip

Hmm?
Yeah my account is new but I've been lurking since 2010. I've actually seen JRcart on the road with his GT S. I don't follow drag racing nor do I drag race. I've seen the official Weistec video on marioflex's car that's all.
But I stand by my comment on the fenders. They are narrow and a joke for what our cars put down stock.

Yeah my brother in law has the Michelin a/s 3's and he tells me they're terrible, I'm leaning towards the P zero Nero for my next tires since the PSS don't have good warranty on them haha

I ran the nitto nt05 all summer went through two sets they seem great for a bit of road course and dry street 275/30/19 rears. but for next year I'm going back to the pilot super sport's they last longer and are just about as much grip in the dry with much better wet performance. Stay away from the contintal and the Pirelli over priced for the performance.
hope that helps. "I got about 3,250 miles per set of rears with the nt05's"
