M156 and SeaFoam
So I've searched a bit on this, and haven't really found any solid answers...
I've used SeaFoam on all of my cars with good results, but this is my first AMG and I know they can be special little snowflakes, so is SeaFoam ok to use? I've read Techron is the only named additive that is recommended, but does anyone here have any experience? Which vacuum line on the M156 would it be added to - brake boost on the left side? Any pictures would be great.
Thanks
Matt

I've never heard of seafoam being bad for cats. I heard it isn't the best for plugs, but I've never had an issue on other cars. I'm waiting to see how others use it on the m156 as well

I use it for a fuel stabilizer over the winter months. Season 3, no issues with plugs nor cats. Although maybe OP is using a different product of sea foam than I'm thinking?

I've seen heads on the 156 that have needed to come off due to carbon/sludge build up. The amount of oil the 156 sucks back through the crankcase vent is excessive. Installing a catch can, removing the manifold, draining the oil from it, cleaning around the intake ports and intake valves in the head and then reassembling is the way to do it.

I know SeaFoam doesn't compare to that solution, but I've used it before with solid results. Just want to know if I'm good to use the classic formula really.
