Hi guys , am relatively new here..am planning to buy a AMG and my budget is around 55K USD. What would be a great offer for a 2014 c63? with really low miles on it? or would i be getting any 2015 c63 for around 60K USD? am really confused. Need all your inputs.

you wont find a 2015 for 55-60k. Go for the 2014, you will find plenty lightly used within your budget.

Hey may be referring to the 15 w204's, in which case, he may be able to find them around $60k.

The w205's are still 70+

I was confused too until I went to a corporate store in Canada, this may be different in the US. The 2015 Coupe was still the 6.2 NA model but the 2015 Sedan was the new bi-turbo. They still have a few new 6.3 Coupes and are offering $10k off. I picked mine up for $74k CAD so about $52 US plus tax.

MB carried the W204 C63 Coupe through the 2015 MY because they did not have a coupe in the W205 line to sell yet and obviously the W204 C63 507 Coupe fit the bill and was still in demand. This has caused some confusion but makes sense for MB to have a C63 Coupe to sell to fill the gap until the W205 Coupe is available. The same car was available in both Canada and the US.

Am more inclined to the sedans , i was basically comparing
2014 W204 vs 2015 W205. The later being 20k more . I am now looking to buy the W204.
Am planning to buy a C63 2014 W204 with around 3k miles , CPO , with lighting , multimedia and driver assistance package , Am getting it for 60K out of door.

Any thoughts on it? Please suggest.

Yeah, you aren't going to get out the door in a w205 for $60k unless there is something really wrong with it. The w204 is the way to go given your budget.

As for price, just use NADA, KBB, Truecar and sources like that and plug in the specs of the car at the dealer. Take an average of the values and if you find you should be paying less, bring all those to the dealer and try to negotiate. These cars have different values depending on where you are in the country/world so that's up to you. I would say $60k sounds like a good price, though.

Really appreciate your inputs. One final question..is it okay to ship the car from the east coast to west coast? I live in CA and the car is in PA. Given the snow and climate conditions..would there be any issues with the car ? am a noob here!

where are you located in CA? There's a very low mile 2016 C63S for sale for about $66k. if the car is clean, you can haggle and get them to come down.

Am located in san jose..the car seems to be a CPO..so am guessing there wouldn't be any issues with the car? Is it a good deal? what would you do if you were in my shoes?

Nope, there wont be issues. Just use a trusted shipping company. I was quoted something like $1100 to ship my car from Rochester NY area to LA, but that was an open trailer. You can get an enclosed trailer for a few hundred dollars more I'm sure. If an open trailer is used just plan on having the car detailed nicely. I shipped my fathers S5 from NY to Vegas and it was covered in bugs when it got there.

OP -- I'd look at this car, too. The records on it are clean and even at $67k it's an appealing option.

You should also head over to the w205 section (Click HERE) and browse some of those threads. You've got both happy owners and some that aren't so happy who find themselves missing the "soul" of the w204 even though the w205 outperforms in most categories.

You dont live too far away. I am in santa clara. If the car is clean, I would be all over it. CPO, super low miles. I say go for it.

I just googled the distance from you to that w205. You should go drive it. If you can, drive both the w204 and the w205. At those prices you will really only see a small difference in monthly payments. Heck, you could put a little extra down on the w205 with the money you'd save from shipping a car across the country.

Also -- I usually wont buy a car unless I drive that specific car first. At least you can head out and drive that w205.

If I was in your shoes, I'd be driving away in that w205 tomorrow.

thanks a lot for the support..i previously test drove both w204 and w205 , i didnt find much difference...the w205 handling was a tad bit better...am going to test drive the above w205 now..lets hope i have a deal!!

If considering shipping vehicle, def go with enclosed carry to protect your new investment, esp for such a great distance. Too much additional uncertainty if left open to the elements. And def consider Passport Transport for enclosed carry; they shipped my matte black baby from Miami to south Michigan without issue, and provided GPS tracking of vehicle location while enroute, in addition to applying protective steering and seat covers. Their price was also among the most reasonable for enclosed carry.

@PurpleHeartAMG- got the car for 66k. . Add on taxes and couple of maintenance and dent protection stuff got it out of door for 77K.

Her rare bumper cracked



Fortunately my baby escaped with a minor beauty spot on the front lip. My heart stopped for a sec though. Cant it even spot it until I get close to it and see.

This is honestly one of best optioned p30 c63 ive seen, has all red interior which is really rare, and has the amg multimedia option which is super rare. Looks very very clean. If I hadent bought mine last year I would purchase this in a hearbeat
