vibration/scrubbing noise on left turn
Hi Guys, Im new to this forum and want to ask for opinions on something...
Let me start by saying i have searched the current posts but cannot seem to find any information that relates to my specific problem so here it is.
When my C63 is cold and for aproximately the first 10-15mins of driving i can hear/feel a vibration/scrubbing noise which appears to be coming from the front right. This only happens when cold, on left turns or when hitting bumps under acceleration. I have taken the car to the mechanic but its obviously warm when i get there, he has checked everything over the car and said everything is as it should be. Im also fairly mechanically minded myself and have checked everything i can thing of (all joints, bushes, link rods etc) If anyone has had this issue or can think of less obvious things to check id greatly appreciate it.
thanks in advance

Is your car lowered, do you have aftermarket wheels/tires? Do you have a dead animal stuck up in your wheel well and when you turn it is slowly taking away a little bit of its life?

Not lowered, AMG multispoke wheels and no animals.... Could possibly the occasional wrx driver or old lady stuck in there though.... Will also check that.

Had Mercedes workshop have a look at it, originally they told me it was because my p/s fluid was low. I knew that wasn't the case so I asked them to look at the engine mounts as you suggested and BOOM! The right is collapsed and the left is completely broken. Quoted $1966 AUD to have them replaced... Might look at doing the job myself.

How much did your install cost and was it from the stealership?

I got my mounts from FCP and ordered the tranny one as well (which was actually fine) and was about 530AUD.
Install was not done at stealership, was done at my local german workshop that I go to everything for and was $600 for engine/tranny mount install.

Just got my car back. Had the mounts fitted at the AMG performance center in fortitude Valley, cant speak highly enough of the team down there for anyone who lives in south East qld in Oz. $740 for the job (I believe they under quoted me as that was only 3 hrs labour) but they also found a fault in my srs control module which they replaced free because apparently it's under warranty. Very happy.
