Part query
On the FL W204 there is a part/device/gadget with AMG lettering on it, tucked up in the space just above the lower edge of the front bumper and in front of the wheel arch on the drivers side (RHD vehicle).
Does not appear to be a matching one in the corresponding space on the other side.
The AMG lettering suggests it is not a component common to the W204 C-class generally ie must be something to do with equipment/function unique to the C63.
Any idea on what it is/does??
Cheers

Without a picture, I'm going to guess you are referring to the aux oil cooler...

Thanks for replies. Not sure it is cooling related, is tucked up behind the spoiler and away from airflow. It is about the size of a 1990s style mobile phone.
Tried to take a photo of the part number but it is really well hidden and hard to get to unless you pull everything apart.
I am beginning to think it might be some sort of sensor/control unit for the stability control system but really not too sure.

My car is up on stands and the bottom covers off so I had a look see. This is the only part I could see with AMG embossed on it. It is part of a plastic trim piece for the bottom of the rad support frame piece. It is raised a bit to cover cooling lines.

Thanks for going to all that trouble mate. The part I am referring to is in line with the front wheel, tucked up under the impact bar and quite close to the Daytime Running Light. It Is covered over from below by a panel extending forwards as part of the trim inside the wheel arch of the drivers side front wheel (RHD model).
None of this is very important, more driven by curiosity - I had damaged the piece of covering trim on a kerb or something and had contemplated just cutting it out rather than trying to fix it. Saw the gadget I am referring to and thought it looked important and therefore in need of being properly protected by securing the damaged bit of trim.
