what is the stock wheel/tire measurements for 14 C63 sedan?

I'm trying to find out what the stock tire sizes are for front and rear.

Also, what is the widest can go on rears as I would like to run 275 if possible.

What do you guys recommend? It is mostly a nice day car for pleasure and I will be putting at most 5k a year so dry grip is most important for me.

I want to run 235/245 up front and 275 in the rear on stock 18s all around with no rubbing or other issues like needing offsets etc. I'm assuming 275 won't need offsets in rear on stock 18s and stock suspension.

Thank you in advance....

245 up front and 275 in the rear will work no problem on the stock rims and suspension.

To answer your first question, on the 18's stock is 235/40-18 front and 255/35-18 rear.
Wheels are 18x8" +45 offset front and 18x9" +54 offset rear.

This is correct, they will not rub. I'd personally be a bit hesitant to put a 275 width on 9" wide wheel though....going to feel "squirmy" with hard cornering. 265 with hard sidewall is as wide as I'd want to go on a 9" wide wheel.

^ This. The additional grip and overall performance to be gained by the additional 10 (or even 20) mm of contact patch width is unfortunately LESS than the performance loss resulting from the tire shifting around on the rim during cornering if it's not properly supported by the rim. On an 18 x 9 rim, even a 265 would be pushing it (the 18s require less pressure than the 19s and they do have higher sidewalls so they move around more). All other things being equal, you'd be much better off getting narrower (255) but stickier and better quality tires than going with a wider tire on the OEM rims.

If you want real grip, run a drag radial in the rear. I run a set of Nitto NT555Rs 285/35/18 on the stock rear wheels, no rubbing, lowered on H&R springs. Keep in mind that NT555Rs run narrow, though, and are narrower than my daily 275/30/19 Michelin PSS.

hi , just wanted to clear things a bit.....if you have a 2014 c63.....then its a 507 edition and they come on 19 inch wheels as part of the package not 18 . that said if you have one then 265 is your best compromise, i doubt that you will see any traction improvement going to 275 .

??? Not understanding this.....there are plenty of NON 507 sedans and coupes that are 2014 models.

"Base" or non-507 models have the 18" AMG 5-Spoke wheels as standard for the 2014 model year.

I am not concerned with hard cornering or anything like that as this is my weekend car/only nice days here and there vehicle.

I am mostly wanting to go wider (to a 275 on stock 18 wheel) for a bit more of an aggressive look from the rear.

Would it damage the rim by going with a 275? I don't want any suspension issues by going to a 275. In my case, it would be strictly for a slightly more aggressive look - that's all. I am now leaning towards MPSS, DWS Conti, or the Goodyear F1s.

Thank you guys,
