Alloy wheel protector (Alloygator)
When visiting my local car garage he had some alloy wheel protectors displaying in his display case, very easy to fit and replace and come in different colours.
i have curbed wheels before and it makes you sick, and makes the car look tatty, With my NEW C63 with perfect wheels i wanted to keep them that way
I had a quick read up about them and then booked her in to be fitted with them. You can barely notice they are there and look like a factory fit.
The best £100 i have ever spent. Since then i have had to have one replaced due to the misses touching a kerb, New 1 installed and the alloy is perfect still,
I would recommend these Alloygator to everyone

Interesting. US price for box of 4 is $160. Looks like one size fits all. You can order in 12 different colors that (may) match your calipers.

Not in good old Australia it isn't
Something to be said for my "cheap" Forgestars in satin black - touch up of minor scrapes is so easy with a small can of black enamel sitting on the office shelf with some emery paper and cotton buds.

Wobble64 Refurbished wheels never looks the same especially a AMG alloy with 2 different tones, i would much prefer a original protected alloy
And the hassle having to go through taking a wheels / tyre off and being with out it for a couple of days while it gets done. The repair on the alloygator was done while i waited

I get that - fair points. However, the wheel does not look like the original with the Alloygator on either. Not for me I guess.
I got the solution, though - wider tires! :-)
