How to know if Head bolt issue was addressed
Hello all! I'm a new member and this is my first post!
I'm shopping for 09-10 C63 AMG's and am concerned about all issues surrounding the faulty head bolts. How can one best determine if this has been addressed on any given vehicle?

I would assume that the dealerships would keep a log of all the vehicles that they have fixed.
Phone a dealership, and run the VIN number.

You should ask as part of the pre-purchase inspection to tear down the motor and examine all parts. They could have installed the forged pistons and rods too, and the only way to know for sure is to take it apart. Good luck, let us know how it goes.

Exactly and if it wasn't done Midas well now that it's apart... Who knows maybe it's a custom one off twin turbo setup...

^This has been debating several times. MB won't admit there is an issue. So no recall. I mean the problem exists but how many cases vs total number of sold c63?
If you worry about it just go with an extended warranty or put money aside for eventual repair.
And yes unless you take the engine apart you won't know if it is done. GL
