BMC Filters Falling apart
Is this normal behavior for BMC washable filters? Nice that they are washable, but it doesn't help if the surrounds just disintegrate. The rubber is the consistency of gummy bears.

I had a BMC filter on my old BMW and it did exactly the same. The border practically melted and broke apart due to heat I'm guessing. BMC is overrated in my opinion.

FWIW my 4 year old aFe pro dry S filters are still solid.

Yeah, I've had aFe on the Merc for a couple years and they are fine. The aFe on my Lexus is probably 6-7 years old and still seems new.
