When the dealer's tech crashes your c63???

The dealer will be able to get that hood. As for the paint, and matching that paint, when all is said and done you're going to want to take a real good long look at your car to see if it matches. Supposedly that is one of the hardest paints to match.
If they come back saying they can't get the hood... Welllllllllll suddenly they're buying you a Mode Carbon hood for $3k or whatever. Don't settle for anything less than a hood with nostrils.

OK just realized a possible solution to the paint match, re-paint the whole car w/full warranty.

While this is often true, it is also true that even good people sometimes make mistakes, particularly when young and driving.
I'd suggest trying to focus on what to do about the car and not so much on anger and blame.

OP, make sure the dealer fixes the car with new parts and without insurance / CLUE / carfax reporting.
And when you get the car back take it to a different dealer and tell them you "think another dealer may have had an incident when they had the car, but you can't tell for sure. Can they see any evidence of any damage or anything that may not have been repaired correctly?"

Also I would find out exactly where the accident happened. If he was actually joy riding or just pulling the car around the lot etc.

First look into diminished value claim and also after repairs (make sure all new parts are used), measure the shut lines and as someone else stated above, take it to another dealership and get it checked.
Good luck.

I would want it traded for either another accident free 507 or put you into the new C63S. Too complicated to deal with a botched repair afterwards and depreciation on a damaged vehicle. Don't want to keep someone's mistake. Good luck.

Diminished value and quality and completeness of repair are very important. I bought a C230 demo and it had been t-boned. The dealer had the car repaired and it was a good job and you would never know. The dealer got the insurance to cover diminished value and I got $10,000 off plus a good price on the demo. I leased the car for four years and turned it in at the end of the lease. That was a cheap car for me and no worries about diminished values at all. I would be very upset if I was you like everyone else has said. Stand your ground and don't let them try to handle you because I am sure they will try to play it down and just do minimum repairs to all parts and not replace anything unless it is past any sort of reasonable repair. Matching the matte silver (if that is your color is hard to do).
I had a front bumper repainted after hitting a tire on the road.... and it matched in certain light, and in certain light it was darker...... GL if they don't paint the entire car. It will most likely not match. I got over it, and because here in Texas with gravel hauling trucks on the freeway, a front bumper paint job every 2-4 years is pretty much a maintenance item..... so I deal with it.

^^ Yeah it's the matte platinum, and I'm in Texas too.
All of the comments from everyone have been helpful (both in terms of what to consider, and cathartic .

That is absolutely terrible! Hope everything gets sorted out... Good luck!
Like everyone said make sure the quality of repair is flawless and get compensated for diminished value... And make sure you give the dealership hell about this!

Updating since you guys gave me such great feedback and ideas.
Dealership taking care of all repairs (and new forged wheel) at a high end shop with a very good reputation, handles 80% Mercedes, all OEM new parts of course.
After some back and forth, they agreed to include an extended vehicle warranty, along with lifetime warranty on all new parts and repairs. That covers diminution in value and gives me assurance about something that might come up down the road.
I go in at the start of tear down to look everything over, shop will work with me directly. Matching the matte finish is key, but I am feeling better.
Thanks again guys --

Wow, congrats on the great deal! Of course, it would've been better if this never happened, but happy to know they took care of you. I'll bet that tech won't be driving any cars for a long long time, if he still has a job.

It's so good to hear that people are actually get taken care of. Just be sure to keep this car for the long haul now. You'll enjoy it and be able to essentially be worry free forever in it.
And good on the dealer. It was the tech's fault obviously, but it's awesome they took care of you. Sounds like you won't hesitate to do business with them in the future. At least I wouldn't.
The only LAST thing I'd be a stickler about at this point is the paint. Make sure when all is said and done you take a good look, especially with that color.

I would try to ensure that the dealership has it in writing that if paint doesn't match, you get adequately compensated. It may take to respray adjacent panels and/or entire car. I don't think you can "blend" panels, you have to paint the entire panel.
You will definitely see a difference in where the paint will differ. It would drive me crazy and force myself to sell the car.
Good luck, keep us posted.

Wow. Just read through the thread from start to finish...happy for you for where it's at right now and hopefully the final outcome (paint and all) keeps you happy.
Keep us up to date and best of luck.
