Hey all! just sold my 2010 Audi A5
potentially picking up a 2009 C63 AMG on tuesday.
its got the Performance Pack, Agency Headers, secondary cat delete and a EuroTune.
i have done some research about these cars, and all i can find is the headbolt issue.
my question to you fine people today is how many of you daily drive this beast? how are operating costs?
i think the main operating cost is going to be rear tires and fuel.
also does anyone drive theirs in the winter? i live in Alberta, Canada and we have some nasty winters..
that being said, i am extremely excited to potentially own such a car!
if any owners can chime in some things i should be aware of that i did not mention that would be great! thanks all and have a good weekend.
also here are some photos of the vehicle.

welcome and congrats. I used to daily drive a C63 Coupe, and given the fact that it's a 6.2L V8, it's obviously thirsty and C63 isn't very kind to its tires.
Other that that, I loved the car and am going to buy another one soon (completely regret selling it)

I think fuel and tyres will be your biggest costs.
I use mine daily.
There is a thread where you can post your VIN number, and Valvestud will provide your data card and let you know if the vehicle is in the affected head bolt range.

Congrats on the new ride! Very different from the A5.
Like others have said, gas and tires are the main expense. My C63 is my weekend warrior and I find my A5 more comfortable for daily driving.

Daily drive my 09. Smile almost every single time I get in it. And frankly, I'm usually smiling when I get out of it as it's just such a fun car.
Rear tires really just need a better alignment, then it's not too horrible. Gas on the other hand is quite terrible. Be ready to go the gas station often. But at least its presently rather cheap...
I also drive mine in the snow. Snow tires are a must, but after that, it's totally doable. Ideal? No, but be careful with your right foot and these do very well.

Congrats on the potential new ride! Fuel & tires (depends on how you drive though). I DD mine but not in the snow. A lot of members do though, they just swap out for snow tires and they are good to go. The other expense you have to watch out for is the mod bug . It seems that C63 has already got some things done to it (black wheels, color matched reflectors, front grill wrapped, tail light tint, front/side vents, interior cf dash, window tint) so that helps. Beside that stuff, nothing too major for expenses.
