Headers and Tune affect reliability?
hey all, posted the other day, but i am 90% sure i am picking up a 09 C63 with 70,000KM on it. (roughly 43,000 Miles i think)
my question to you people is how do headers and an ECU tune effect reliability?
the headers are from Agency and the Tune is EuroTune.
does this cause any added strain i should be aware of?
thanks all

Adding headersm the car needs to get re-tuned. If the tune was installed after the headers, you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Though with any aftermarket parts, nothing is 100% guaranteed, same thing goes for reliability. Adding anything such as tune/headers does void a warranty on the car (who pays attention to that ) but most dealers don't care about that crap. If you search around you can find more info on that but I really wouldn't worry. The only thing for your car you should maybe check out is the headbolt issue since your car would fall into that year range. It doesn't happen often but something you should keep in mind just in case.

Of course adding any tune and headers will have a negative correlation to reliability. If you add more power, you will put more stress to your driveline and tires.
I have headers and I love my setup, but I am also well aware that more power = more wear and tear. Once you accept that, you'll love the upgrade. The reward far outweighs the potential negatives.
