Better throttle response after long trip?
I just drove my car 20 hours across 4 states averaging about 80mph. Usually I only drive short trips between home and work. After this trip I feel I have better throttle response and acceleration.
Am I crazy or is there some logic

the transmission TCU is supposed to "learn" your driving style over time. so it is possible that it has picked up some new behaviors from the long trip. there may also be some placebo effect since long drives on the highway tend to numb you to how brutal the car can be on surface roads

The ECU and TCU constantly adapt the throttle response and shifting to your driving style (so if you've pressed hard on the throttle more often it would make it more responsive), and furthermore, you've likely cleared up a lot of gunk in your intake and the water dissolved in your crankcase has now evaporated. You're not going crazy.
