Those matte carbon tips look awesome. Sub'd for before/after video.

Speedking are you stock exhaust or did you get those headers installed?

First video will have a before portion as the car sits now....Eurocharged X-pipe deleting the OEM resonator along with Eurocharged tune. Second portion of the video will be with the same X-pipe in place along with the Remus exhaust with the Remus resonator and the same Eurocharged tune.

Headers are on the way from MBH with 300 cel cats.....shipping the headers off to Jet Hot for ceramic coating. Once I get them back, I'll do a second video with the headers/cats and MBH x-pipe installed up front and the Remus resonator/mufflers out back along with a new Eurocharged tune. The beauty of this setup will hopefully be that it's 100% bolt together with no fabrication required. It will also pass an emissions test with the 300 cel cats having replaced the OEM primary and secondary cats, sound mean as hell at WOT, yet be live-able cruising down the highway with the wife to the theater. Shouldn't have a problem with a CEL either.

This is on Youtube from Remus Innovation. According to the US rep, the car had no other exhaust mods, just the Remus resonator and axle back system.

Nice, sounds like an awesome set-up. Anxious to hear your last video once you've got the MBH headers on as I'm running a similar set-up: MHP/ARH Headers into 200-cell cats, X-Pipe and stock resonator back. Curious if the Remus system will handle WOT better than the stock one and cut down on the over-blown trumpeting.

Got the Remus kit installed this past weekend.....so right now, the car is setup with OEM exhaust back to the second set of cats, then the Remus Sport exhaust (resonators/mufflers). In installing the Remus Sport exhaust....I removed the EuroCharged X-pipe I had in previously. I'll post up a before/after video soon...need to finish the editing.

Things I already like about the Remus setup over just the X-pipe, the Remus exhaust has a low growl, a grunt if you will, that the OEM exhaust w/x-pipe didn't have. Driving around town is far more fun. There is obviously more horsepower and torque with the Remus kit over just the x-pipe (haven't changed the EuroCharged tune yet). At WOT, the OEM exhaust w/x-pipe had a loud howl to it but it wasn't amazing by any means and was a far cry from screaming "I'm an exotic". Now, WOT with the Remus system is more subdued, a sound I'd more expect a $100k+ sports car to have than a 4 door sedan with a big V8......giving me significant hope that once I add the LTH and 300 cel cats, WOT will be what I was hoping to have versus 'over-blown trumpeting'.

We'll see in the near future......headers just arrived today, shipping them to Jet Hot for ceramic coating, then I'll get them installed once they return. Again, I'll do a after video then compile all the footage into a before/before/after video for comparison sake.

Hi speedking,
Thanks for posting an update. Can't wait to hear your vids. I'll be installing mines this weekend. Did you use a lift? Or, did you do it on the ground w/jackstands? I'm gonna attempt this on the ground.

I installed the Remus system at home in the garage. 2 jack stands, half dozen tools, 20 minutes to get the OEMmufflers/X-pipe out, 20 minutes to get the Remus resonator/mufflers in, 45 minutes to adjust and align the mufflers to get the tips centered the way I wanted in the rear diffuser. I also safety wired the carbon tips onto the muffler outlet pipes.....just in case one should loosen up. Don't want to go missing a $250 carbon tip.

Awesome, thanks for the info. I feel a little more confident doing it on the ground w/jackstands.

If you can change your oil, you can install the Remus Sport exhaust.

The only really tricky part is adjusting the muffler hangers to get the tips centered in the splitter.

Hey speedking,
Do you have the problem where your tips are slipping out? Installed mine and torqued to 20ft lbs, but they keep moving further out. I safety wired them so I don't lose them too. Let me know. Thanks.

Never mind, The clamp is staying put. Know this because I marked it. I think it's just the nature of the tip. As it heats up it protrudes out, then when it cools, it's back to it's original location

That is not just the tips expanding from heat it is the whole length of exhaust pipe expanding. Causes the tips to move out from under the diffuser.

Thanks Mort, I forgot about heat expansion and didn't think they would expand that much. I'll try to take a pic of the amount of expansion.

No problems with my tips moving in relations to the mufflers they are bolted to....but like you, I notice they are sticking a little further out from the diffuser when the exhaust system is hot. A considerable amount of expansion in the SS exhaust.

Recently installed this exhaust. My setup is all stock except for the Remus Resonator and Axle back kit. Install was pretty simple as it's all bolt on.

If you could make these tips in the stock AMG shape.... and sell them like that.... I would buy it. I love the ovular shape of our stock tips

I'm glad someone said something. looking at the round tips on the pics, it looks a little weird on that car. Doesn't follow the lines of the car? Weird, I know but something that stuck out. I like the angular look better of the BS or akra tips. seems to go better with the car aesthetically speaking.
