Are these the best alternative to the squealing stock pads? or are their other options?

I'd be interested to know the different options/ benefits for pads too.

There are always other options but this is a very good one. Quiet and clean and oh yeah, small detail........they stop pretty darn good too!

Would these be the top recommended pads though for a C63 p31 EC tuned daily driver that gets driven pretty spirited, especially on the weekends?

What would be the top 2 options? I think I will have to be ordering pads within the next 2 weeks.

I have that exact car, driven the exact same way except I have the 2 piece rotors all round now thanks to ACG I have Carbotech pads I use for track days (thats as much about pad life as anything), and these for the rest of the time. The stock pads actually are fairly decent and pretty good value, but they are dirty. I don't know of anyone who hasn't liked them. Cant beat them for this price.

Good to know. I like the bite of the stock pads but the dirt level and the squealing are just annoying. I think I may go with these pads then.

Thanks!

Scott, out of curiosity, how do you compare these to Endless MX-72?

Hi AMG3.2,

The Porterfield are gonna give more of a stock feel with a little less dust then the OEM pads.

The Endless are going to be more performance orientated with a lot more bite with less dust then the Porterfields.

I have these on my car now. Do they make anything as an alternative. Should I be buying a set just to have around.

As a side note, I have tracked, auto crossed, and drive the absolute wheels off my car with these things on. They are great!
