So today, on a hot day, I fired my car up and started driving and noticed that the A/C was blowing hot air even though it was set to the coldest setting.


I tried to research the issue and came across some old reset method with pressing the buttons in a sequence but that did nothing (maybe because it was for the w203)

Any idea whats wrong with my car? It was serviced 10 months ago and cabin filters etc were changed and there were 0 issues with the A/C unit.

No warning messages/error lights have popped up. Not sure if it has anything to do with the case but I remember seeing some unusual white smoke as I drove off, not sure if it was just from the cold start though. I know, I am no mechanic..

You might have a leak. Get a gauge from auto store and see if it's holding any pressure or see if any freon left.

I have not noticed any leaks and can't get to a gauge.. stupid question where can I see the level of freon left?

Take it to the dealer, its a complex system with no easy fixes. Most likely under warranty.

Freon is checked by pressure so you'll need a pressure gauge to see how many psi or MPa your freon is at. Like latreille said, I would bring it to the dealership as you probably have a warranty left being a '13 car.
