Question Weistec Transmission Pan question.

Hi all! I think install Weistec Transmission Pan on my 507. Who uses it, tell please it's a good mod? How it work? Transmission really less heated?

I don't have any experience with it, but more fluid typically means better cooling.

In addition to the cooling fins too, so I'd be inclined to say that it works. As to how much it will affect it, I'm not sure.

I was considering it. Its more-so a preventative maintenance upgrade. You may not necessarily need it, but the added advantages of it may be beneficial long term. But damn 600 bucks for a transmission pan.

I have it. Hard to tell if it has had a material impact on trans temps, as I don't have a temp sensor in there and did the VB/TCU at the same time. But it certainly doesn't hurt, especially if you're tracking the car.

I have it. It's not something you are going to notice but with 3 more quarts of oil temperature should be lower. I also have a transmission cooler to help keep lower temp. I gives you peace of mind.

I have a 2013 C63 P31 with the 44O cooling Kit as I go to the track regularly. The kit has reduced the Engine Oil Temps from 285 Degrees (Have MB S/W Upgrade) to roughly 245 degrees. Last time out at the track with 88 degrees outside temp and really going for best lap times, the transmission switched itself from M to S+, evidence that the transmission was too hot. Engine temp was higher than normal at 257 degrees also. With the larger transmission pan, has your car ever switched it self to another mode on the track. If I remember correctly, you also have the 440 Cooling Kit and track the car. Also, how much has the Valve Body and TCU mod. (Weistec) improved your shifting on the track.

I haven't installed the 44O package yet (it's paid for but backordered from Germany unfortunately). I had the Weistec trans pan, and TCU/VB upgrades installed in March. Last year I had no problems with cooling - the carbon air guide in the grille seemed to do the trick. I also wasn't driving as hard as I am this year, and my trackdays were in cooler temps around 70. At VIR 2 weeks ago it was close to 90 degrees, and I was seeing peak oil temps as high as 286. Power was reduced in 3rd gear (oddly only 3rd gear for some reason), and my transmission defaulted to "S+" and locked me out from the paddles or changing modes until oil temps were back below 270. The trans pan alone will not solve the heat issues we have on track with the standard cooling system, and in fact I think that the upgraded TCU/VB has even exacerbated the heat issue (more line pressure and stronger clutch clamping is causing it perhaps). With that said, the shifts are lightning fast now. Really just bangs the gears at WOT. (lots more "barks" for those of you into that kind of thing)

Mario, what did you do for an aux trans cooler? The Weistec pan has additional AN ports for installing an aux cooler, as well as for a temp probe. Will probably do both at some point as well as cooling for the diff.

I'm waiting for my Weistec transmission oil pan. I managed to buy it when Weistec had Black Friday.
How many liters of transmission fluid need to install it?
