Lights on.

Closeup 1

Side angle.

Lights off.

Closeup, all C63s should come like this stock - much cleaner look than the full chrome.

[The biggest pain in the a$$ for me were the two tabs directly below the MB star, those were in extremely tight. I just used a small, flathead screwdriver to help pop the two center tabs. Very easy DIY.

Next up: Gloss black wheel center caps, Luftstrom rear diffuser by Mode Carbon.

Nice work! With the wraps and grill install. Noticed you wanna get the MC luft. Diffuser. Just spoke with Nicolas today bout that as well as the boot lid spoiler. Said lead time is 4 weeks for manufacturing. Wonder if any other members are keen maybe we can get a group buy going to possibly get better deal then already 5% and free shipping.

Black center caps for the wheels arrived today. Will be popping these in tonight... 75mm, make sure you order the right size if you decide to swap yours with another cap.

Closeup ...

Thank you, INSIGNIA!

Jd-hinks- I'm down, how many people would we need to get a better group buy price from Mode Carbon for the Luftstrom rear diffuser? Have you talked to them about the group buy? Thank you, sir.

2012 C63 Coupe

I wish it can cover the whole thing which would leave no red parts but it doesn't. Not too bad and the fitment is very good for the price.

The black one a buddy owns next to mine, I in fact always wanted a black/white one for a very clean and classic look, but when the deal came it came. However the red helps the black/CF parts color contrast a lot easier and it has been growing on me to the point this has become my 2nd favorite factory color.

AFe Pro Dry S filters arrived.

ROW BOX Oem part number

ROW BOXES with MAF sensor installed.

Will do install hopefully tonight if I have the time - if not, next week. Car is bone stock to the tires, this will be the first 'performance mod'. Hoping for some better air flow up top .. not expecting more than 5hp, which is negligible on a big V8 for the most part anyway.

Stay tuned...
Looking great!
Very similar to my car... same color
For now I've just wrapped my chrome trim in satin black... But i'll probably end up getting the 507 gloss black trim.
Did not know about the black wheel caps... very cool!

Haha, yea, not at all. But figured I'd keep my upgrades on one thread instead of constantly creating new ones haha. That way, I can come here to find pics and whatever else I need in the future to show pics, part numbers etc

Gotta love Steel gray!

I'm digging the chrome trim wrapped in black. I am still looking for a reputable vinyl wrap shop to my door trims in gloss black, that's my next cosmetic change actually

Having said that, do the 507s come with a gloss black trim around the windows and doors? I was not aware... Do you know parts numbers or where to find? I like oediscountparts.com so far for OE stuff...

Keep up the good work on yours, too..

t25 Torx driver for the box screws...

Front panel has two clips near the oil filter, two clips by the lids on each side,,,,lift up and it pops...6 total clips to remove this panel (easy)

So much stuff in the way of air!

OEM on left , ROW on right...half circle vs full, and that mess for the charcoal filters on OEM is gone for the ROWs.

I used the aFe Dry S Pro filters - some use OEM , others use K&N . I just wanted something that was easy to clean and not worry about oil.

Complete.

Car sounded deeper on start up, little more throaty nature. Throttle response was the best benefit I saw driving around the community under 3k. It had a slight hesitation before , but that's gone now.

Can't say I gained power, but the slight sound change and much improved throttle response was worth it!

Thanks for the pictured update! Well, we didn't expect to be able to feel the gain anyways. Do you think you can make a in cabin and outside sound comparison before and after?

I think I will remove my DRL surrounds and plastipdip them as my next project. I also have to find some high quality but not uber expensive matte black vinyl wrap to do my trunk strip cause its the only chrome left on back of car and is awful. Also need to find out how to remove that strip without damaging anything.

Just curious, if you can remove the surrounds from the car, why not have them wrapped as well?

Contours are tough to get perfect without bubbles or other issues. Same for the grille star. Damn near impossible to get right, even with a heat gun.

Because that rear strip looks like a much easier piece to wrap without so many contours and edges. I feel I could actually wrap rear piece myself and not really the front surrounds, plus they would be easy to plastdip, unless there is something not good with plastidipping them.

I can do a cabin sound with windows down and windows up with the ROX boxes, but it will hard to tell from a cell video.

Having said that, just ordered Mike's H-pipe and his resonator delete pipes, can't wait to install and make NOISE.

That's awesome man.
I have read somewhere that h pipe takes away some low rpm rumble, is hat true? But with the stuff you mentioned I am sure it will sound great, just googled some YouTube vids, I couldn't tell if the rumble was any different.

Takes away from low end rumble? Not at all... If anything, it adds to it! Check the vids on here and YouTube
