I just bought one for my car from Winners for $12
It looks exactly like this one http://www.kenu.com/#/products/airframe
the reason i liked it was the ability to turn it easily, its small and the clip to the vent is rubber so it won't damage the vent.
I've had it on for about a month and its still opening and closing with strength, it doesn't shake around while driving, its very sturdy.
I've already bought 2 others prior to this one and this one has done the best job out of the other 2 i bought. it was also the cheapest!
I was going to go with one that was similar but with a magnet but I saw this one it was cheeper so I figured i'd try it out. something like this one https://www.amazon.ca/Spigen®-Magnet.../dp/B0109JIQ0W

I have tried several phone mounts and the only one that ever worked reliably was an iOttie I purchased from amazon. The suction has a sticky gel pad on it that adheres and stays put like a champ. I travel 50k miles a year and once mounted, this usually only needs to be re-stuck one time a year. Hope this helps.

I use the magnet mount, believe it's call Wizgear. No glue nor suction cup, I am never going back to those chunky holders I used to have and have thrown away. Go to Amazon and see for yourself. If you want I can upload pics of mine.

NVM. I was referring to the Steelie one, but now I see on Amazon that there are tons with a fairly flush piece that attaches to the phone.

Yeah, the metal piece is thin and flush, and can be hidden inside the phone case and be invisible (I have it outside for strongest attraction but my case is black too so looks pretty stealth if you ask me). Definitely not a nub in the back...
One downside is that it does not adjust angle well and once the mount is in there, you can't adjust the air vent blowing angle to your liking sometimes but these are about it.
I got some friends in my car seeing me just toss my phone to the air vent and it just stuck there, got themselves really curious about what happened. After I explained, some just started playing with my phone and the mount, yeah, I have some mentally young friends...

I have a kenu airframe mounted on the air vent. i'm pretty happy with it, very low profile and snug enough that I can mount or remove my phone with one hand. unfortunately it doesnt work in my other vehicles due to air vent placement or shape so the other option I have gone with is a CD optical drive mount, i forget the model I went with but there are a few available. These are nice because they seem to give you more adjustment options to make sure the phone screen is facing you without any glare, but the placement of optical drives on mercedes dashboards puts the phone a bit lower than I would like.

These are by the far the best holders I've found, they integrate well with the car interior and install in seconds. You buy whatever cradle is appropriate for your phone and attach it to the holder. I've installed these myself (including as 12v supply to charge) first in my CLS55 and then in my CLS63. They look like they were a factory option, rather than a cheap aftermarket plastic thing from Ebay or Amazon.

This is the best in my opinion as I don't listen to CDs so the CD slot just becomes a waste of real estate. This turns unused space into usable space for me.

Amazon also has non-magnetic ones if you aren't down with putting a magnet in your case.
