Stinky under carpet
Ever since i got the car from the seller, i noticed an odor. So i had steam washed the carpet, but still the odor resides. So i decided to find where exactly the odor is comming, and figured is comming from under the carpet, the deadining material.
Any one with similiar situation?
My bro with a C300 has no under carpet odor so im not sure what is causing it.
Thank you

Could it be the cabin AC filter. I know my C63 was getting that musty odor smell. Just had the dealer swap it out and it smells great again. You can do it yourself but a bit of a pain to get to. Some members even add some smell (vanilla/cologne etc.).

Thats a good call but I honestly dont know since i got it used. It doesnt smell mold but more plastic.
I noticed that the whole carpet has the smell so it might actually be flooded and smell of mold.
The old thing is, the smell is actually comming from under the car carpet.

Open your sunroof and slowly poor water onto the drip tray at the front corners. If you don't see good flow through the drainage holes or behind the front wheels, you likely have clogged front sunroof drain/s. If you see good flow from behind the front wheels, then it's possible the air box above the engine control module has clogged reed valves. I have seen both problems with W204's which causes standing water in the floor pans, saturating the carpets. I have also seen where a replacement windshield was incorrectly installed, causing a leak at the A-Pillars.

Thank you for the suggestions.
I did a bit research, apparently some european car owners has complaint about crayon odor in their and it is been say is the adhesive from the deading material.
Still haven't found a fix to it, but this might be case.
My cat doesnt smell musty of mildew type. Is more like plastic so this might be it.

After thinking about this I noticed I also have this smell. It's kind of a hot plastic smell. I just blamed it on being a MB. It's not a foul smell. It seems to be more noticeable when it's warm.
