Anybody have long tubes with Mike's H Pipe? Or Long tubes with Mike straights?

Has anyone done Mike Hpipe in place of the secondaries and with an Xpipe in place of the resonators? Sound clips?

Or straights in place of the secondaries and Xpipe in place of the resonators?

I heard that deleting the resonator adds rasp, but Xpipe will smooth and keep it deep.

My other option is to do long tubes and Mike's H pipe in place of secondaries, stock res, stock mufflers.

I DO NOT WANT RASPY. THANKS ALL

If you don't want raspy, you should rule out straight pipes or resonator deletes. Longtubes with cats and xpipe connected to the resonators does not produce a lot of rasp. Adding a set of akra from the x pipe back will eliminate all rasp.

Thank you.

How about long tubes with primary deletions and secondaries with an H or X pipe? Stock res, stock mufflers.

Also, what would an Xpipe in place of secondaries ONLY do for volume and rasp?

Long tubes by design will automatically delete the primaries, there's no way around it. If you opt for cats, they will go in the space between your existing primaries and secondaries.

The x pipe only with long tubes will just be a non catted setup. Having a xpipe will smooth out some rasp.

My setup is ARH LTs with 200 cel cats and a xpipe bolted to the factory resonator and stock mufflers. It still has the signature AMG sound. My kids sleep fine in the backseat.

If you want to avoid rasp, leave the stock res and stock mufflers. I've been researching the different exhaust setups and the one theme I've seen is the stock res and stock mufflers definitely keep the car deeper, without adding the loud rasp.

To date, the best setups in my opinion to increase volume substantially while maintaining the AMG sound are: longtubes only, everything else stock. Or longtubes with an Xpipe in place of the secondaries - stock res, stock mufflers.

I have LTs with an Xpipe in place of resonator and its raspy. I should switch it back and leave the resonator. if it's too loud add hiflow cats where the mids are.

Jeff-
Do you have any videos of your car? Light rev, drivebys etc?

Also, did you ask a muffler shop to custom build your xpipe to your headers?

Thanks man..

ELITE_KOV, not sure where you're located but I've got the same set-up as Jeff so if you're local to me in LA I'd be happy to meet up so you can hear it - just shoot me a PM

I'll echo what other guys here are saying - unless you go with an akra exhaust, id keep the resonator. You can modulate volume from there with 200 cell cats or going straight pipes.

I don't have any videos of my car in drive bys, but arjy posted a video of his car and he has the same arh setup that I have.

My whole LT setup is made by ARH, every thing bolts onto the factory resonator. No custom fabrication needed. Look up my LT installation thread.

I might be driving down to Baltimore again in 2 weeks. If I drive my C63, I'll text you.

Bumping this thread. I'm looking at running Long tubes, with 200 cell cats, into straight piped/H piped to the muffler. Can long tubes sound good without x pipe? I dont want it to become high pitched and too smooth, which is what I hear xpipes will do.

No one can really tell you what you will like.that is why I have all 3 options to try for my setup.

I'm going to recommend to you what I think you will like and save you the trouble of asking everyone.

Install the headers with hi flow cats as close to them as possible.then run straight pipes that came with your headers and install the rest of the stock oem system.

Put your resonators back in and bolt the straight pipes that come with the kit to that.

If you want louder you can remove the cats
