TUNE AND INSURANCE
Hey guys i was looking to find out if anyone has done a tune to their car and let their insurance company know about it. If yes then how much of a difference did it make to your insurance or was it an issue to get insurance after disclosing that you wanted to get a tune.
A friend of mine has paronoid me that if i have a accident with a third party and if somehow by a miracle say they check for a tune and find it they can void my insurance.

Not to sure about that. Best bet would be to call another broker and ask the
Question. At least you would have an idea as to what ur insurance provider would
Say.

WOW....if you're that worried about the liability, just say no to getting a tune! That's extreme paranoia... lol
If you get into an accident and it is in some way related to the tune, you were driving way too fast. The tune should be the least of your concerns....

Don't tune your care if you are that paranoid...also, does your friend drive a BMW by chance?

LOL! Insurance agent won't have a clue what you're asking about.
People make all sorts of modifications to their cars. It's worth talking to your agent if the mods have significantly changed the value of your car so that you have ample coverage if it gets trashed, but from a liability perspective the mods make zero difference.
