High Idle in Park normal in gear?

High Idle in Park normal in gear?
Today my c63 started idling higher in Park
It fluctuates between 1000-1500 Rpm
When I shift into gear it's normal. Any suggestions or clue why this is happening?

In gear it's under load. Could be, TPS, vacuum leak, ICV...

yeah i think its a vacuum leake. i have a cel on for a purge valve and i can hear a whistling sound in the engine bay.

Ran the codes p0171, p0174, p2187, p2189. Definitely has an audible whistling sound coming from engine. Gonna take it to dealer Monday

Hopefully not, but could also be a crack in your IM considering those codes. Have you checked if any of the bolts are loose. All of mine were, didn't have any codes but I re-torqued them anyway.

i called a couple indy dealers and they told me to pull the oil cap with engine running to diagnose the problem. i did and the whistle went away and motor rpm went down. thought that would be pretty obvious. he said that would confirm the PCV valve.

called mercedes and they said its $160. emailed parts.com and they have it for $90
