Steering feels "floaty"

Thanks guys. I don't think that 275 vs 265 would make the car feel that way. Maybe Hachiroku is describing the feeling that I have, maybe it is a more of a dart than a float. Either way, I'm happy to hear that everyone isn't saying something in the suspension more of a potential tire or wheel spacer issue. I'm gonna drop the PSI a little on all corners to see if that helps, I do a lot of freeway driving (this is my DD) so either I need to get use to it or a new set of tires.

So, I'm quite new to the C63 and I have a 2012 C63. I came from a C250. The steering on this car when at higher speeds (around 60-70 mph) feels a little "floaty". I know the car has speed sensitive steering but I would imagine it would tighten things up - right now the car feels a little loose at high speeds. Its still quite sharp, just seems to move a little but too much when under acceleration and doing things like changing lanes..
Any thoughts?
Any thoughts?
Same thing here. Just bought the car, coming from an F80 M3 with 265s up front, and this thing has a lot less front grip. Definitely floaty.
It almost feels like an old 911 at highway speed.
I'm thinking that a wider front tire might help. Has anyone else addressed this issue?

I was in the middle of a road trip when I posted the above. Before the return leg, I dropped the front tire pressure 3PSI as someone suggested fifty years ago when this thread was created. That did help some, which leads me to believe that it does have to do with the skinny Pee Wee Herman, C300 tires that some clown at MB spec'd for this 450hp, 4000lb high performance car.
I will update further when I get some more rubber under this thing. I should add that the tires that my car came with are sub-par. They will be replaced with something wider and better.
