Res/cat delete question

Res/cat delete question
Hello,
I own a W212 M156
I'd post this in that forum but 99% of them are M157 owners, so bare with me.
What's the best sounding setup for a res and a 2ndry cat delete?
I was originally going with the straight pipe for both, but as I researched that results into an unbalanced airflow.
Any recommendations? I'm doing it purely for extra sound not performance gains.
Thank you in advance.

It really comes down to personal preference. Some may like the full straights while others will like the h/x pipe setup. Having full straights will make it extremely loud and some get annoyed after a while. I would suggest either the x or h pipe if you are removing both the res and 2nd cats. This thread has some good feedback if you are willing to read a bit.

Or X pipe for cats, straight for res?
Sounds beautiful!

removal of secondaries and resonators on a C class....prepare for noise. basically the same or close to as loud as long tubes, xpipe, and resonators removed which means loud. will sound awesome though. just search youtube for vids...there are lots for the C class.

If nothing else, like I always suggest, start with the 2nd cats. then if the sound isn't loud enough for ya, remove the resonator. I removed 2nd and replaced with straights and it sounds amazing. Keeps that AMG sound, sounds healthier, also about 40% louder. Removing the res will add a bit of rasp to it, some like it, some don't.

IMO; replace the primary cats with high flows (also called race cats) and delete the secondaries! I think the resonators help to facilitate part of that signature 6.3 sound. This is the setup I have and god is it lovely, and not too loud until you crack on it. But prepare to do some dodging to get around emissions requirements. Also, I've heard that the stock primary cats are the most restrictive part of the stock exhaust. And I believe it.

I removed 2nd cats and res, but kept the standard housing in place, so it looks untouched....
Not worth it, waaay too subtle for me.
People that never knew I removed them, didn't have a clue
