Mercedes has made me never pay for mbrace
Talk about a terrible customer experience, they send me a letter to activate mbrace, 2013 CPO, dealer told me there was a 3 month trial, their website indicates there is a 3 month trial, so thought I would try it out.

Call them up, go through giving them all my info like 2 times, painful phone call. Then they try to sell it to me for like 480 for 2 years and I said thanks but i want the 3 month trial before I pay them for something that I have not experienced. Guys say no prob and then says he will have to put me on hold as they may need to activate it from their end. Wait a while, he gets back on and says oh, your 2013 doesn't have a trial you have to buy at least 18 months and then the trial is just a discount of the price of 3 months -WTF, that isn't a free trial, that is a discount off something. Not giving them a dime without trying it on principal, so what should be a try it, like it and give them money, they have turned into **** off your customer and then make no money off them - idiots.

It certainly isn't worth the money - only thing I would use is google maps send to car here and there - maybe worth 5 bucks a month tops.

Wow, so now it has turned into a discount like you said. Try calling again, because it's not unusual to get different answer every time.

So the saga continues, get a call from customer service, they tell me that the person I talked to is completely wrong etc etc and to call back and ask for supervisor if there is an issue.
Called back and next person was great as @otakki suggested might happen, he says no problem, activates everything and then says I need to go to the dealer as they need to activate since it had not been on in the past 3 years - great.
Stop at dealer since they owed me windshield wipers because the conveniently missed them on the CPO inspection and they had the yellow dot showing. Got my new wipers and they hit me with "it takes a long time" and we have to charge an hour of labor to make it work for you - what a racket - totally fed up with all the BS at this point for something that is supposed to be a free trial and that I probably will never pay for anyway, but serious Mercedes, I have never been given the run around like this by Audi or BMW on something you want me to actually give you money for.

Even free, I have found it to be worthless. Your smartphone is much faster and better, not to mention less expensive. Might have been OK in the 1990's, but not this century.
