507 to S4 to 507 HELP!!!!

Guys,

As most of you know, I lost my white stormtrooper 507 w/ V5 and Kleemann LTH, Quaife LSD, Carbonio airbox. It was one of 10ish in TX. And you know Ive been madly searching for another.

I had to get into a S4 b/c it was tough being sportscarless for the 4 months that I reserved to find a 507. Didnt happen and jumped into an S4. I have to tell you that the C63 truly is an amazing car to drive, no matter the variant. everyday I get into the S4, I miss my C63. The S4 is a docile car and not much fun to drive. It is a very nice daily driver for just puttin around town. Its funny, on the Audi forums, those guys are all gungho and adamant about how ridiculous the S4s are. Especially the modded ones. I hate feeling like a snob or a douche, as I know about the S4 and including the C63s, that not everyone can afford a $50k to $90k, but the S4 is by no means even in the league of our beloved AMG W204s. And its funny to hear those guys him and haw about the S4. Well, pplllltttt!!! After being in 5 C63s, I have to go back. I dont care for the W205s and Ive seen plenty.

The 204 will always remain special to me. However to clarify, I am not under the illusion that it is THE sports car. Its not a supercar, it wont appreciate, and there are far more special and exotic vehicles out there. Hell, Im getting back into a Porsche as soon as my daughter is out of the carseat. But back to the 204. I have a love affair with it and need to get back.

Can anyone help?? Im looking for 507 sedan. I am in contact with the gentleman that just put his Designo up for sale. Its in Canada and Im going through the process now of finding out what it takes to get it here. Just seeing if anyone knows of any sedans in the US or has imported a car from Canada?

Anyone? Buller. Buller. Buller

I agree with you about those guys on the Audi forum. They refer their car as the "chariot" . It is basically a beefy Volkswagon... Funny thing is I used to own a 13' S4 fully modded with all suspension goodies, exhaust, intake and APR stage 2 tune and I enjoyed the C63 I have now WAY more. The thing I dislike most about the S4 is the electronic steering. It felt like you are driving a corolla... with no connection to the road.

Totally agree, had an S4 for a year and a half, wanted AWD for the winter and don't miss it one bit, the forum thinks they compare to M3's and C63's but they are no even close, it compares to a 335i at best or a C400. The RS4 is what would compare to a C63 but you can't get it here.

They make decent power and are pretty easy to put 75 hp on with a tune and small pulley on the SC, but it takes that much to even run a stock C63 and it is really the AWD that makes it competitive in the 1/4.

I also have a 335i tuned and it is more of a car also than the S4 - S4 is nice, but drive a C63 for a day and then see what you really think.

The S4 I drove was a DSG and was so boring. My IS300 has 100 hp less and is more entertaining and involving to drive. In the snow I loved beating S4s off of a stoplight (while I run full snow tires). They think quattro makes them king kong in all conditions and don't swap out their Conti 3s out.

The C63 is a major step above the S4 in al dynamic ways. The interior of the S4 is very nice. My neighbor has one. 60k miles and on it's third engine.

Does the "af" in your username stand for "a female"?

It would make so much more sense if you're a chick...

Good luck with the 507 search though. Audi drivers are *****

No.

You coming out to the local track in a couple of weeks? If so, stop by and say hello. Don't know my garage # yet but I'll probably be the only AMG around

I had my S4 for 5 months and didn't drive it the last month I owned it because I hated the way it drove... I don't miss it one bit. Very true about the Audi guys in the forums... but same goes for the M owners... MB forums seem a bit more sensible and mature.

Probably not quite fair to the Audi crowd to make the general statement about Audi being "beefy Volkswagen". There are some exciting cars in the Audi RS lineup. If you ask me what I'd prefer to drive my stock TT RS or my stock C63, I'd say the TT RS. However, they each serves their own purpose very well. It's a toss up between my stock RS4 and my C63 for me...the decision is probably more mood dependent...

Thanks D*HEAD!!

Really constructive and so brave of you behind your monitor. Time was I remember when this forum was nothing but helpful and we all seemed to share, like a brotherhood for our beloved c63.

And as far as whining and Im gonna die without it, I dont think Im whiney nor am I gonna die without it. Not sure about 12 other threads. But go ahead armchair cowboy. It just really isn't needed, warranted, or in anyway mature or nice to bag on me or my post. You could have just past up my thread or been mature.

My life is great and it sure would be amazing to get into another 507. Thats it. If I dont find one, well thats okay and Ill move on in my car life.

My cars.com alert just popped up that 2 2014 507 sedans are avail. One looks like 17k mileage and the other 30k+. No prices or photos yet.

Good luck in your search! As c63AMGee mentioned, setup an alert on one of many sites to have a better/quicker chance of vetting your questions and seeing the car.

I'm new to the forum and find most everyone here helpful as well. You always have your few, but that is life.

Jordan, is there a reason you're so fixated on a 507?

No, not in particular. Especially, as I consider, I had a nicer car. I had to give up a 911 Cab, because I had a child. Needed the 4 doors. So, I bought the best sedan I could. I am going back to Porsche once she's sitting up front anyway. I just really like the Alcantara everything interior, the hood, and the wheels. The interior and the little bits were just nicer than all my previous 63s and I like the hood. Thats it. Im not in any hurry, so I check in from time to time.

Its really not as a big deal as this already is.

Definitely, but they don't sell for high dollar like they used to. I bought one on ebay for 30$ & quality is close to oem.
