iPhone Volume
I recently picked up a 2013 C63 AMG which has all the necessary bits to run my iPhone 5 vis BT or the media interface cable and it functions as all its predecessor cars I have had this phone in.
The issue is that when using the radio or playing from a disc I have gobs of volume sufficient to do ear damage but on the iPhone whether BT or via cable the volume sucks even when fully up. I have never run into this.
I have checked settings in my phone and anything related to volume is at max but while you can hear it it is not the greatest sound.
Has anyone out there come across this and more to the point found a fix? Is it a softwear issue that tech with a computer can adjust or is it in the voodoo land of the secret engineering menus you need an advanced degree to access?
Any and all help will be most gratefully received.
Thanks.

As for audio quality, a tip for everyone using BT audio, don't turn your phone volume to max, leave it at 3 volume clicks down from max. Then only use the car console to adjust the volume. Will sound a lot better at least that was how it is for my iphone 6, 6s and 7.

There's a way to change it in the "special" menu using the steering wheel buttons. I don't remember the procedure but try to search for it here and google.

I don't have the same volume issue, but my guess is that the volume of your music files are low. You could go into iTunes setting and double the volume of each song by right clicking the song -> get info -> options.

I will look at what you suggested for sure.

There are days when you just don't get enough caffeine into one's brain to get it to function on all 8 cylinders.
On the side of the phone there are two buttons. Volume up and volume down.
Regardless of what you do in setting and in iTunes if the volume on the darn phone ain't high enough the system cannot improve the input beyond its limits. Once the volume was up on the phone all was normal. Dah!!!
