HDPE at COTA Nov 11=13
Three Texas-based BMW clubs have joined up to offer three days of instruction and driving at COTA next month. Cost is $399-$449/day depending on run group. Majority of those signed up so far are BMWs but about a third are other makes. Only one MBZ (a GT) so far.

I am thinking about signing up and I can't run my s2000 due to bmwcca's roll bar rules. What kind of brake wear do you get at COTA in your c63? The reason I ask is that my s2000 went through about 40% thickness in a day.
Other than that, this cool weather means the car will run great! I had a blast when I went in the summer, but it was just outrageously hot.

I have participated in a couple of BMWCCA events at CoTA - their name being Texas Trifecta 201x. The most recent being in mid-June of this year. They announced that they would be trying to set up two events per year from here on out
It is of course a fabulous track so if you haven't been out there yet I say spoil yourself and do it. But be forewarned, you might lose interest in your other local tracks
I was using CarboTech XP-12's all around and I got 3 days out of the fronts and the rears are looking like about 2/3's life remaining. I had used Porterfield R4S's before and got about double the life - but less stopping power.

Nice, thanks for the recommendations! I run XP10/XP8 on my S2000 and they stop great but leave something to be desired when it comes to pedal modulation. This may be less important with the MCT since you don't have to heel-toe downshifts.
What's a good C63 time on street tires? I'm going to guess low 2:40's?
