2011 C63 Transmission Fluid Change

Hi All -

Does anybody have a recommendation on a good shop in NorCal who is familiar with doing a transmission flush + TC on AMG cars?

I took my car to an indy shop and they quoted me $859!

Thanks,

Phil

https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...ml#post6925609 That's not that bad of a price. The normal B service costs around $1400 at the dealer.

This was not for a B0 Service. The quote given was for only the transmission service. I see you can get kits which include 9L of 236.15 MB ATF Fluid, Filter, Gasket, filler tube, and new bolts for around $180-$200.

So basically the shop is charging $650 to drain oil, replace filter/gasket, and refill. I cannot see this taking any longer than 2 hours tops. Am I missing something here?

It's a much more difficult process than you might think. Requires special tools as well. There is no up-top filler filler for the fluid. All fluids are removed and filled (with pressure) through the drain plug on pan.

I did job myself with improvised fittings, temperature gauge, pressure tank, etc. Stupid design and that's what drives the cost. You can do search here and find posts by those that have done it.

Regards,

Joe

Try Mercedes Exclusively. Owner Tony also drives a C63 himself. Tell him that you heard about his shop from Sean and he will take care of you

Thanks for the heads up. It's about a 2 hour drive from me, however I haven't found any great mechanics in Sacramento.

I just ran mine through my dealer shop up here in BC and paid the following before tax CDN$$ including parts and labour before club discount:
B Service $446
Trans service $403
Rear Diff service $102
4 Wheel alignment including new camber bolts $353.
