Excellent post.
This came up on my news feed today, and while it's not AMG-related, it does show you what these DTM cars are capable of. This is a 6:15 BTG Nordschliefe time in a BMW M4 DTM. For a point of reference, I believe Bellof's full Nordschleife record is something like 6:11. This is just unbelievably fast.

And there are spots there where he doesnt have the hammer even remotely fully dropped, where he is just coasting. Awesome.
As a bonus, we have finally found an M4 I like the sound of.

And he had a passenger too. Thing looks like a cross between a tin can and a spaceship on the inside. Must be amazing to drive one.
The parts where he's coasting are areas where the car gets really light or near airborne if I remember correctly. You don't keep the hammer 100% down at that place or you're going to have a really bad day.
