MY13 C63 P30, K&N filters, V6 tune, secondary cats deleted.
Received my V6 this morning and uploaded it at lunch time, impressed over the stock P30 map. Can feel the difference with slight pedal pressure in S & S+ as well the aggressive downshift. Very happy.

Jerry and the Team provide excellent products and good old customer service.

Got my V6 tune aswel, installed it late night and went for a ride. Boy, those downshifts! And trust me, the Black Series is already a bit loud and fast at shifting in Manual mode. I don't wanna brag about it, but I'm pretty sure that a couple of young lovers walking down the streets thought some one was firing gunshots - they threw themselves to the ground. I felt sorry for them (with a smile on my face )

Will try some VBox times and run it at dyno to get some concrete results. But I'm happy so far. Thanks to Eurocharged and Jerry - very fast reply!

Two silly tune questions:

a. do I need to flash back for emissions tests?
b. does the ECU still "adapt" and should I still do the ECU reset occasionally?... or is the "adaption" now wiped out?

Quick question:

I went for a ride and gave full gas in 2nd, and my hand slipped the paddle, so the engine revved for 1sec - car immediatelly went to "emergency mode". Switched back to C, ESC not working, gas pedal stopped working.

I pulled over, turned it off, waited 2min, turned it on again - working perfectly. Won't revv it again, ofc, but what was that? Got me kinda nervous, I must confess.

I went from stock to V6 and now I'm noticing pre-dentonation under load like on a freeway burst. My mechanic drove it, heard it, and surmised the same. I'm also getting a brief hesitation when I accelerate. I'm awaiting EC's reply.

you put the correct octane for your location in the tune request? You recently fill up with gas?

Yes I use correct octane although I probably shouldn't use Costco? It's just very convenient for me.

EDIT: My post was merely sharing my experience and not an accusation against EC. I researched and chose EC because their stellar reputation and service.

You should add a few bottles of Boostane that stuff is magic it fixes everything and will give you 50 or 60 more hp too

I have the V6 tune without the pops and crackles and whatever. Not my speed on that, but I wanted to hear how others have been with the tune before putting it on the car as I have the V5 in there now. I hate to say I have been using you all as Guini pigs, but I needed to see how it was doing compared to the V5 tune if it was worth putting it on the car.
I have to say I have not liked what I have heard so far on the stability of the new tune. Can EC elaborate on some of the issues people are having with it? I am not a fan of leaning out the fuel mixture to squeeze the last few HP remaining from a tune. I just would like some clarity on some of the issues people are having. Not in a private e-mail, but here on the forums so we can go about making the tune work properly. Thanks in advance.

Since I'm on the winter tires I haven't laid into the throttle at all. What I have noticed so far is much smoother shifts in both C and S along with increased low end torque.

Smoother shifts? How does that happen?
You can feel a torque difference? I would assume that the difference in torque would be minimal in a 3900lb car with only a very slight if any increase in the torque numbers unless the map is changed where you would receive more down low and less up top or something along those lines. Again I don't know since I have not installed it on my own car, but I am not sure I could feel 10 more tq numbers unless the map was changed over the V5.

V5 the rpm would jump slightly between shifts making it feel a little sloppy. Doesn't do that in V6. Like others have mentioned, it feels more refined.

I specified my mods (charcoal delete, sec cat delete, Shell 91) so maybe that's where the TQ increase came from. It's not drastic, but enough to notice being more responsive at low rpm.

I don't want my car to feel any more refined. No thank you. If V5 is 'rough' compared to V6, then I'm fine. I'll just use more Boostane.

2013 C63 P31, V5 tune
It's anyone else noticing their transmission being much more jerky since the update from v5 to v6? My shifting in auto mode seems much more jerky and less smooth than before with the v5 especially in sport and sport + modes

Hi,

Can you PM me please.

I'm looking to purchase your tuning software. I would like to purchase your hand held device along with v5 and v6 maps.

Thanks

Totally - the additional smoothness in C mode and better response at light throttle opening makes the car feel so swish.

"swish"?

new term and I'm dating myself... or early 80s term and you're dating yourself?
