FS: Eurocharged V5 Tune & MyGenius hand held tuner- $600

Hello,

I'm selling my Eurocharged V5 Tune w/Blip along with the MyGenius hand held tuner. I purchased this for my W204 C63 which I just sold. This tuner has been out of its box only twice. Once when I installed my tune and the other when I completely uninstalled the tune and tuner from my C63.

Asking $600 for the tune and tuner. This could be a cheaper way to get your
C63 tuned. PM me with interests.

Thank you!

What mods does the tune expect to be installed on your ride?

That's not going to work. The tune file is matched to the specific car. Whoever buys this is just getting the loader and will have to pay EC full price for a new tune.

The tuner mates to the specific car, unless its been completely uninstalled. Then it can work with any C63 W204. The tune is a 91 octane tune (New Mexico); my car only had secondary cats removed and AFE filters. That will certainly work with someones car.

Nope. That's just completely wrong.

No it won't. The tune and handheld is locked too the cars ID once it's used for the first time. You need too contact Eurocharge and pay a fee for them too unlock the handheld and supply a new tune for a different car ID. The My Genius handheld sells secondhand in the UK for around £75($93).

x2

Think of the tune as VIN specific. You can't reuse it on another C63.

Yes, sorry but this is nearly worthless, if anyone is thinking about this, talk to Eurocharged first for pricing if you bought this, but Eurocharged is going to either charge you the sale price or give you a small discount for already having the mygenius. Tune itself is spent money and cannot be used on another car.

Absolutely, agree on this! Newbies confuse the tuner device with the tune. The tune is mated to the car, the only way he can sell it is if he has someway reached an agreement with EC to transfer the tune for a nominal fee to the new owner (highly unlikely). The Tuner device is what can be transferred to the new owner, as long as the stock tune has been loaded back into the vehicle. The tuner is useless to all new buyers, unless it is to members who happen to have had their vehicles prior to the handheld tuner and wants a remap without physically sending out their ecu's.

About a year ago, on a similar topic, Sales@Eurocharged posted this about a MyGenius that was offered for sale: "since you flashed it back to stock, the device can then be reset remotely for FREE (only because the car was flashed back to stock)"

https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...eld-tuner.html

That's not totally clear, but it implies that the MyGenius can be reset to accept a new VIN and that the tune can be transferred. Can anyone from EC please clarify?

The device can be transferred if the tune has been reverted back to stock, but the tune cannot be transferred. You must purchase a new tune if you do not have an existing EC tune.

Or, worst case scenario, buyer can pay another 35$ for a brand new tune?

Just my 2 cents of doubt here.

The tune is VIN locked to the original car and cannot be transferred directly to the new car. A tune update for $35 will not make the tune compatible to the new car's ECU. If the handheld is unlocked then you will need to get a new tune compatible with the new ECU to put on the handheld to install into the new ECU.

First off you will need to have Eurochaged unlock the handheld and then supply a new tune compatible with the new car. Eurocharged will likely only unlock the handheld if their tune is removed from the original car and replaced with the stock tune.
