Comfort/sport mode button stuck?

Comfort/sport mode button stuck?
Good morning everyone..wanted to know if anyone knew how to remove the button that I'm pointing at in the picture..? Something mightve spilled without me even noticing I guess...anyone know how I can remove that button so I can clean it with some electronic cleaner spray? Thanks in advance..!

Stick your hand inside the leather part of the shift knob cover, and pull up on the edges. Once you pull that up and out you might have access to whatever else is down there.

Up until recently I was in an 09, which will stay in a mode even after you turn it off. I had mine in S for so long that I forgot that was even a button. When I first saw this post I chuckled to myself thinking "this guy thinks that light is actually how you change modes".

Spill coffee down there? my CLR and Back buttons get stuck from that... best to get a hot rag and lay it over top, then use a "calling card" or coupon card (like Kohls or GNC) to get in the crack...
