To cater to petrolheads with family, the estate version of the 2015 C63 AMG has been spotted testing at the Nürburgring recently, and it is an amazing machine! The new car will feature AMG´s new turbocharged 4.0 litre V8 engine that is also found in the next GT car, the AMG GT. The unit inside the next C63 AMG will develop around 510bhp and an amazing 479lb ft of torque!

Awesome vid !

What stood out for me more so than the engine sound (I'm already sold on that one) was the composure and handling of that wagon test mule, it looked fantastic on that run I can only assume the sedan and especially the coupe are going to be even better.

Also noticed the new W205 wagon gets better looking slimmed tail lights, here's hoping that follows suit with the eventual coupe variant

You meant to say that the rear of the wagon looks like the rear of a wagon.
Usually what separates a wagon from an ordinary sedan is the rear.
Usually the one thing that most wagons have in common is the rear.

I don't hear much of the turbos to be honest, most of the noise comes from the tires trying to get traction which bring me to the point on why in the hell going with just RWD when at this power output we should be dealing with an optional AWD.
Haven't we learned already that the previous C63 255's bicycle tires weren't enough? I hope the Mercedes engineers don't trip on the same rock like the donkeys do because making a 451hp car with 255 tires is a design of donkeys or monkeys (pick one)

Well Tobias announced that they won't make the C63 in a 4matic variant until BMW makes their M cars in a X drive variant. Which brings me to my next point. On a different thread I read that BMW is planning on announcing a M3/M4 X Drive. So I'm really curious if this is true, and if in fact AMG has already acted upon this information (they probably knew about it already if its true)

Where did he say that? That would be a very stupid thing to say...AMG will follow the competition! I've only read articles that have him stating no AWD for the foreseeable future.

Read it somewhere on the private lounge. I also believe that he said that in a interview when the CLA 45 was announced

Went in for service today and my service guy told me that C63 4Matic is indeed in the cards however it wont be a full-time AWD, it will have a multi-plate hydraulic clutch, and only used when the car decides that it needs the extra grip.

The car will be RWD biased and under heavy acceleration, and cornering will it engage.

I replied back by saying wow nice, but I call BS on anything that doesn't come in a Mercedes press release.

I agree with your instinct that it is BS.

A MB tech once asked me if my car had AWD. I said no, it's RWD. He said, "Oh that sucks . . . they didn't have it in 2013?"

I replied, "The W204 C63 never had it." He said, "Oh my mistake I thought this was the E63."



Techs that know more about future releases than the company executives are like the ex-military guys you meet that were sure enough . . . Navy SEALs (except they weren't).
