There are 2 fuse boxes in the engine compartment, 1 on each side. There is another directly under the front of the right rear seat behind the panel (carpeted). At a minimum you should get the owners manual for your car to help you with such stuff and ideally get the Star Service Manual Library for the 215/220 models. You can order this from MB at their USA main office by calling 1-800 for-merc. Lastly, I would not ever deal with a mechanic that refused to give you help, especially as simple as this, as it's obvious his only concern is $. Good luck.

Any good mechanic/electrician with a voltmeter should be able to test all of your relays and figure out which one is forced closed and doing the draining.
