2001 cl600 aux cable socket.
Did anyone successfully install the aux jack in their 2001 cl? Someone mentioned a kit they bought in best buy, what is it exactly? Is there a connector block in the back of the glove box?

Nope.
Only 2003 cars had an aux jack
For the other year cars you need to use a cassette adapter , hardwire a cable into the cassette section, or use a $600 adapter like the Denison or mobridge

How about these MMI cables or IBP cables? don't they plug into the socket where the diagnostic tool is plugged into? seems like an easy solution although depending on how you listen to the music the cassette is acceptable.
