DIY Oil Change??

Ive looked through the forums for this and cant seem to find anything.

Do any of you have a DIY Oil Change for the W215?

----And yes, I know it will cost almost as much to have the dealer do it, but I like working on my car when I can.

Thanks

9 quarts of Mobil 1 0W40 (may not use it all, just in case)
Mityvac 7400
Filter is available on Amazon, Autohausaz.com, parts.com, or the dealer
Filter is on top of engine, not need to get on the ground.

Amazon.

Or you can drain it from the pan, but I like using the extractors.

The manual on my CL55 says 8qts of oil (although the SL500 says 8.5 qts - both use M113 engine)

You measure you oil using the buttons on the steering wheel (also instructed on the manual)

I drain the oil from the bottom. Jack up the car, remove the cover on the bottom. 13mm socket removes the oil plug.

Should be a simple job. I did mine too. The dealer promotion was actually $3 cheaper but I enjoy working [on the simple things] on the cars.

This is an excellent how-to video for the job. It's for an SL55 but the job is basically the same.
