Seat Backrest Lock
I had a couple passengers in my car today. Guy sat in front and seat did not go all the way back due to back seat passenger. Now the seat back won't lock (it moves forward freely) and there's an annoying orange message on my dash. Any idea how to fix the seat backrest lock or clear the message? (It stays on while driving.)

Update: the seat is locked in position now, but the light's still on. The auto forward function on the (passenger) seat no longer works either. The seat still moves but only with the controls on the door. Any advice on what might be wrong with the seat and/or how to clear the code (the reset button doesn't work- the red code is on all the time).

most of the time one or more cables break there, also the air hose (but that is not for you)
only way to find out is to hook up Xentry Das diagnostic system
if you need one msg me
