best ABC preventative care

Hi guys, I know this issue has been done to death but I started my car today And i got the red "ABC warning drive carefully" message. I have a 2001 cl500 which I bought 2 years ago. No ABC issues so far.

The ride height etc seemed normal and when I shut the car off and turned it back on I didn't have any ABC message. The next morning I dropped it off at Mercedes for them to check (again no error message ) .

Anyways they checked and said everything was fine, no issues. However I am scared now and thought I might as well change the ABC fluid and filters, so i asked them a quote for that.

Is there anything else I should ask them to change or are fluid and filters enough?

If you are low on fluid, there must be a leak. When things start going downhill with ABC, you are better jumping off and going with something else.

The conversion to spring and shock will keep your car on the road for a very long time with very low operating costs. If I still had my CL, I would have done the conversion and drove it for many more years.

If I was low on fluid I feel like they would have told me. This shop is super expensive and will suggest anything to be repaired if they can make money.

I guess I'll just have them change the fluid and filters. It can't hurt right?

Your accumulators may be going bad. When they go bad they get filled with fluid instead of their normal nitrogen air , so your system wil be low on fluid even without any apparent leaks to the ground
