I am purchasing a Mercedes Star DAS for my CL600. The ones I have used in the past only work with Dell D620 or 630 or IBM T series with serial and parallel ports.


I have seen complete multiplexer with HDD units on EBay that say they will work with any laptop. Has any one out there tried on these. They are about $350-380, which is a good deal if they work.

The HDD's have an image with no specific hardware drivers, so you can use any hardware that you have drivers for ...

I have the c4 multiplexor which can connect over wifi so no serial port is required. Though I still use a dell 630 as it was cheaper on eBay than a newer laptop.

Where did you get the Mercedes Star DAS and how much? Would be wonderful to have it (and be able to operate it ..
