Eurocharged Johnson intercooler pump

Since I already have the big Carlsson heat exchanger, I am considering to upgrade the intercooler pump, partly because that would mean one less Bosch part in the car.

Is it worth it to upgrade the pump? Can someone share their experience?

Thank you,

S.

There is a great sticky on intercoolers (type in "Intercooler" in the search box), a bit too technical for me, but it provided the answers.

I don't understand why Eurocharged are still promoting the Johnson CM30 pump. Its popular, but its pressure & flow characteristics are completly mis-matched to intercooler systems. Its inferior in every respect to every version of the Bosch pump. Its the one pump that should NEVER be fitted to our IC system. The CM90 is much more powerful, and might be worthwhile only if you have a big heat exchanger.
