might just be low on hydraulic fluid. if so refill and you might be good. you tube has some instructive videos on this.

2006 CL500
The clear plastic fluid holder is 1/2 full and no signs of any leaks. You can hear the pump running and the trunk lid just goes up slow and need some human help. I'm assuming the pump or ram is bypassing internally. Thanks V

get it on ebay - unless you are rebuilding hydraulic pumps every day. I got mine for 85 bucks.
