Coolant mix / 100% water for HOT weather year-round

I was wondering if anyone is using 100% distilled water in the coolant tank or near-100% distilled water (for those who drive MB in HOT weather year round)?

Ice cubes?

No, never. You need some antifreze to prevent corrosion.

Mercedes
A Mercedes will never overheat if it's working properly , even in places like Palm springs or Phoenix or Saudi arabia where it gets to 120 degrees outside

You need mb spec coolant for its additives to protect the cooling system .zerex g05 works

coolant

thank you. I got the MB spec coolant at Autozone for about $10 for 1.5L. Label says "Pentofrost NF" and there is a "Pentosin" logo further down. It was listed as a MB coolant matching 2003 CL 600 and it is a blue fluid.

Car is not overheating but I noticed that coolant tank was only half as full and I was getting an intermittent "check coolant" message. After that I read the manual which said that coolant tank should be filled up to the "rim" of the top black part.

City driving pegs the temps at around 90C while cruising on the highway is at cool 80C.

I'd still like to "wrap" the coolant tank with ice cubes
