I am thinking about buying a 2003 CL 600 with all options but Distronic in Capri Blue w/Ash interior, w/ AMG package, w/AMG split spoke wheels. What do you think it is worth??? California car like brand new.

You think it is worth 15K? I was thinking more like 13-14K but we agreed on 15K but I think I am going to try and get the tax and tag and fees thrown in for 15K out the door. I think that would be fair. Thoughts?

Yes, not a real big market for the 215 CL's. They would probably take what they could get.

Yeah I think 15k in a special color other than black, or silver makes this car more special than the rest. As for the W215 CL 600 not being sought after is not really true. There aren't many left and I don't drive my 06 with 4K miles on it. I want one I can enjoy. I find them amazing to drive and for a second daily driver I think it is better than owning a junky E or CLK or Camry. A whole lot of car for very little money. Just wanted to see what price is fair. I have ever owned a newer OLD car this cheap before. I even think it has an existing extended warranty.

I would try to get it for $15k out the door , but it still has some warranty on it just buy it as it's worth it. Not too often do you see the rarer colors in mint condition

Yes, I adored them from 2003-6 and 11-14. I cant stand the S Coupe. If it had the refinements of the 11-14 CL 600 and the dash and door panels of the S sedan with all the wood, I would buy a new S600 Coupe but they aren't going to make a 600 coupe any longer. Only the 65 and I just refuse to pay what they want for one and it still has the ugly door panels and dash. Not to mention the chrome door latch sill plate covers are a thing of the past. I do not like opening up a door and seeing the screws that hold in the latch and where the rubber attaches to the body. I love all the technology with a passion and the seat sew pattern but you can keep the car. No more opening sunroof, and it looks like a E coupe for 100K plus more. In fact all the cars have the same look, except for the ugly S sedan. I love the inside of that car esp. in a 600 but as for looks,it just isn't my thing. The grille is MASSIVE and way out of proportion to the car. The rear lights iare pretty but I think the car looks over inflated, like the Town Car of old. They try and compare it to a Bentley or Rolls. That is really a laugh. Bentley needs to step up its electronic game but Rolls is there already and from what I am told there about to add a lot more content to the RR. Also, the RR and Bentley do not depreciate like the Benz do. When I find a good deal on a CL from 03-up Ill keep collecting them. 15K is a steal out the door I think. It's just a beautiful car inside and out. I didn't look twice at the W216 until the body refresh and then I was hooked. Better, sharper, crisper lines with better wheel choices than the 07-10. I'm very happy with my full Designo W216. I am also happy with my 06 CL 600 and will be happy to have a CL 600(with LOW miles) that I can drive every day!!!!!

215CL in my opinion looks so much better then the 215CL much like the R230 looks much better then the R231. I'm just not feeling MB's new coupe designs.

Forgive me but your statement doesn't make sense. Please correct what you are saying so I understand. If your saying the W215 is better looking than the W216 I agree but not after 2011 then the car became alive. The previous 07-10 W216 was basically a upside down bathtub. Ugly if you want to be honest. They fixed all the poor styling errors and the car in my opinion is relevant in todays market, where the 07-10 was a dog. So, I love the W215 but it looks very dated but very sexy. I love everything about that car from 03-06. I like the W216 from 11-14 better than any before it but I still love them the same, they are just not as in style as the 11-14.

Well as they say, we all have our own opinions. You obviously haven't ever driven one or owned on. If you had you would change your mind. See you drive an E Class and for me those are pedestrian car in my opinion. Nothing sexy about them. Just basic transportation, not sexy like the CL from 03-06 or the 11-14 W216.

No, I don't own a 2014 CL and I haven't driven one. Why would I bother to drive a car that I think is unattractive. Driving dynamics wouldn't matter. I drive a GL. My wife drives the E. As far as basic and not sexy, like you said, you have an opinion and I don't agree with it nor do you agree with mine. The new CL's are not exactly flying off the shelves so to speak.

The E55 was a huge seller and still very popular today. The funny thing is if you try to buy a 2006 E55 you will spend more than you would for a 2006 CL55 with similar mileage. So much for pedestrian......

I think we can both agree that the 215 CL with AMG styling is a good looking car. Too bad it's a horrible car to own long term. Just too many issues. The bi-turbo V12 is a great engine though.

Anyone with a credit score over 500 can lease and drive an E Class, lets be honest they are upgraded an upgraded. You cant compare a 200K car from a 50-60K car (when new). Anyone can afford any Mercedes but not but a few can afford a CL or S Coupe. Without being rude, honestly your two cars together cost HALF of what my CL cost so please don't even try and compare and apple to an Orange. E Class cars are pedestrian at best as are the GL's so please don't try and try and show how has the bigger Johnson because anyone that owns a CL obviously does.

Love your S Sedan! Beautiful lines! Quadcammer is always trying to stir the pot, he and one other that likes to go into rooms that have nothing to do with them and pick fights. These guys have so much pent up anger its obvious they aren't getting any attention (if you know what I mean). No buddy a Camry is basic. A Chevy Sonic or Volt is basic. A E class starts at $50,000+. While not rare. Cars that cost more then what most people make a year are not basic transportation. Basic means cheap and simple and what majority of people in the world drive.

An E55 was never a $55k car when new, neither was my GL, and definitely not my CL. Your sound like you have not a clue what MB models cost.

I had a bi-turbo CL600 close to a decade ago. Loved the engine but it was not at all reliable. Been there done that with the CL. Sorry, not impressed.
