Leaking front left strut - ok to drive for 2 weeks or no?
Hi all,
I noticed my 2001 CL 500 was dropping on the front left side. Took it to Mercedes and they told me that the front left strut was leaking and needed to be replaced. I had replaced it about 1.5 year ago with a rebuilt strut which had a 2 year warranty. So i contacted the place that I bought it from and they are telling me that they dont have any in stock and I need to wait 2 weeks.
Could I drive my car for those 2 weeks while I wait? The leak doesnt seem terrible, need to adjust the level when I get in the car then its fine. I can wait its ok but I do need a car eventually. I just dont want to make it worse or break any of the ABC pumps.
So far I didnt receive any ABC errors. My Mercedes shop is telling me its fine to drive but Im not sure ...
